Cardamom is closely related to the ginger and turmeric family. It contains vitamin B12, D, E, and minerals Magnesium, Copper, Selenium and Zinc. Like Cinnamon Cardamom contains phytonutrients (chemicals produced by plants that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.) terpenes (Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in many plants). Phenylpropanoids are found throughout the plant kingdom, and flavonoids. Cardamom has a long medical history for its health and aromatic properties.
